Very cool. \\; I happen to love that low slung fender. \\; I've been playin around with a similiar idea for mine. \\; Just on the prowl for cheap parts.
Well, took it on its maiden voyage, and Im still here haha. Everything seems to be in order for the most part. I might add the 01 springer front brake sucks ***** compared to the 06 dyna brake. I might have to fire up CAD and draw a new one to adapt the bigger caliper.
Trying to figure out how to mount the fender still. I might half moon some black iron pipe and build brakets. I just dont see the harley ones working without some work, and I still have to make or buy brackets anyway. If I make them myself I know they will fit.
The stock springer lugs also only have room for 1 bolt to pass through them. The only thing that doesnt allow the fender to clock itself is because it has that third mount on the brake caliper. So if I mount half moon things on the dynamic fork, the ones the spring are attached to, the bracket will not be allowed to clock, and I can make it as big as I want, Hell I could even make them quite large like the rear fender struts. Basically use 2 bolts per side so it cannot clock itself..
Back to riding, thanks for the compliments, I wasnt sure what people thought of it, not that I care
Springer is great! I want one. The rear fender looks good... but not with the fenderless springer (imho). It kinda looks like two different style bikes were welded together.
