Default Tallboy Handlebar on and Ultra Classic

I keep hitting my knees with the handlebars in a slow tight turn. I also feel the grips are a bit close and would like to move farther away. I have an Air Zep seat which I do not want to change. I'm trying to understand if the Tallboy's will help. The only posts I've found don't really help. The MOCO says they raise 1" and move 2" away from rider. I'm not sure what that would be like with the fairing since I aready get wind onto my hands due to the extended mirrors. I have mirror extensions to raise the mirrors into my field of vision.

I hate to order the

56964-07 ($129) Tallboy
38651-98 ($35) Idle Cable
38650-98 ($22) Throttle Cable
38649-98 ($80) Braided Clutch Cable
45212-97B ($138) Braided Brake Lines

....and find out this doesn't work on my Ultra Classic.

Anyone with some experience here?

btw: I'm 6' 4" with 36" inseame

Well big boy ... I have two words for ya, DO IT! LOL
I'm 6'5" and 38" inseam so I feel your pain, or I did feel your pain. I looked all over for bars that would move the bars away from my legs and still not get above the fairing too much. Then HD came out with the tallboys. I love 'em a bunch. They do move your hands forward and up, not really above the fairing.A pleasant surprise was that in addition to up and forward they are also wider. No more hitting my leg and a much more comfortable riding position.
You'll like 'em for sure. It is a pain in the *** to replace all the cables but I took that opportunity to go all braided.
Good luck!

Not an option; How does that change the heel to knee distance? Besides I enjoy long rides. e.g. 1K miles in 14 hours. The Road Zep is comforatble and no need for Monkey Butt! LOL

...but thank you for your response. Even if I sat back farther the handlebars would still hit my thigs as they do now.

These part numbers are wrong for my 05 UC. I'm trying to get the correct numbers from Zanotti.

56964-07 ($129) Tallboy
38651-98 ($35) Idle Cable
38650-98 ($22) Throttle Cable
38649-98 ($80) Braided Clutch Cable
45212-97B ($138) Braided Brake Lines

Anyone know what they should be?

Go for the Wild Ones Chubbys 575. You can keep your stock cables.

From what I read the WO575's are closer not farther way. I 'm already cramp and need to get the bars farther away.

The WO575s are a little taller, and your hands are a little closer, but your hands are spread apart more than with the stock bars. You can also push them more towards the front to gain some arm length. My bike is also an 05 Ultra, and they work well for me. See if you can find someone with the WO575s on a EG and judge for yourself.
