07 RKC. Daniel Stern is recommending new optics (Cibie reflector and lense for $75) andOsram+5070/65 bulb ($22). Another $27 (x2) if I wantto upgrade running lamps to wider beam, "selective yellow" bulb. (He says you'll never get much forward light from them, they're too small, but thenew bulbs will make you more conspicuous.)

Anyone done this? It makes sense to me that simply getting "whiter" light or adding wattage probably isn't the best approach. His approach isn't cheap but, probably smarter use of $$$ than more chrome.
