Maybe I'm just retarded but I can't get any results using the search feature on here.
Does anyone know if and how to take play out of the throttle on an 08 EGC? The more I ride the moreI notice this issue. Especially when making a turn as leanandroll on the throttle there is a lag slop in the response. At slow speedI pucker every time it happens and usually end up over throttling and upsetting my turns.
The weather is too bad ( 6" snow) to take it right now so I thoughtI would quiz the group.
May be a problem ... may need to "retrain your brain". Fwiw, I know *exactly* what you're talking about. When I went to demo ride an 08 SG I had the same moment of panic you describe pulling out to turn right off the bat. I had just stepped of my (now gone) 07 Softail Heritage. After returning and talking w/ the sales weenie, he said the same thing happened to him the first time he rode it.
Either that bike has/had a problem similar to yours or its just the difference between fly by cable and fly by wire. Fwiw, I've not had the problem on my UC as I goose it before easing out on the clutch. Either I'm avoiding the issue by goosing or my still-smells-like-new UC doesn't have the same ailment.
Maybe asking a friend w/ an 08 to give yours a shot and see if they notice a difference between two 08s ... or go for a test ride at your local shop for s&g's to "test" your theory. Good luck!!!
