While searching for a unique air kit this S&S unit caught my eye. Quality is nothing short of outstanding and the install was a breeze. Very well designed, both the adapter bracket (with integral breathers) & "tuned" runner are made of thick cast aluminum & finished with show chrome. Bracket mounts to heads with 2 breather bolts & 3 screws to the throttle body. Runner mounts to bracket with 2 screws. Filters attach with stainless clamps. Ordered from Bart (shooter64) at www.catseyecustoms.com in Arkansas. Great service & price! 6'3" & there are NO clearance issues whatsoever (leg, boot or brake pedal).
S&S part numbers are as follows:
17-1042 Chrome Bracket Kit for DELPHI throttle body
17-1005 Chrome Tuned Intake with dual 4" K&N style tapered red filters (polished stainless end caps with etched S&S logo)
55-5026 Rain covers
Note: Intake runner is available in black or natural. Filters also come in blue.
Looks good. I'm a big fan of that type of look. I wish they would release the one they use on their VFI system for use with Delphi bikes. I really like the staggered look. Wimmer makes one that Onlythebest has on his bike.
I think the Harley and or whoever makes it for them looks great and I am sure works as well is a nice piece too, I have one and love the looks of it.... if these have more clearance than the Harley heavy breather to the lower fairning I would ppurchase one, does anyone have this setup on an Ultra and does it fit?
I hade to modify my lower and remove the glovebox....
