Hey Goat,
This sumbitcah runs like a raped ape, and I ain't got it over 3500 rpms yet! I was thinking maybe I could/would have myself a sleeper, but when I light this bi**h off everybody at the stealership looked up. One fellow thought it was a small block chevy with a race cam in it. How can I say..." I Like IT" without being too obvious. I will hit the 500 mile mark in a couple days, after that I will probably have to order a couple back tires!

My question to you is , do you have any idea what the oil pressure on you bike is ? On this old dresser the guage only goes to 40 psi. Running at 3000 rpm it is showing over that , warmed up and at idle it @ 35 psi. I know the gage is old and gages aren't accurate for sh*t, but my 80" showed only 20 lbs cold and maybe 10 running down the road, hardly anything at idle. I have checked all the oil lines, none are crimpled and have got return. Just wondering if I should be concerned. Another question is the top end noise. This motor has a little more valve trainnoise than the 80" but I assume that is nomal.

Any insight will greatly appreciated.

What all did you change to make it work? It sounds like something I would like to do with our old '90 Ultra.

Paco,
I have no idea what mine is putting out for oil pressure as I don't have a gauge. What filter are you running? Harley or something other? I am sure there is somebody on this site that will have the answer for you. As far as top end noise, mine is the same way and is not to worry about. I asked the same question. My old 96" was almost as noisy as this 113"
You are not kidding that the motor is a killer. I have had mine up to 5500 and S. O. B...... Real nice. Glad you like it Paco.

PaJoe: New motor from Ultima. Paco got a 107" and I got a 113".

PaJoe,

All I did was to take the 80" off, set this 107" in the frame, bolt it back up. I had to buy a oil cooler, a single fire ignition, two new plugs, a oil filter bracket and some oil line/hose. I have also bought a se clutch spring, but have not installed it yet.

Let me know if i can help...

Paco,
Couldn't find anything regarding to the oil pressure on the Ultima engines. Sorry that I could not be of any help.

dog155,

Thats great ! I don't know what happen with my S&S113". When it had the .520 cam I didn't notice the oil, but I put a .600 lift cam and all hell broke loose. Motor run like hell, but when I would stop there would be oil everywhere. I put a canister to catch the oil under the frame as suggested on another forum, I called S&S. I did everything but take the engine apart and check to see if the rings might have lined up. I sold the bike to a friend and it was still blowing oil when he hit a car a couple months ago. I almost bought the bike from the insurance company just to take the top end down, but they thought a lot more of it than I did. I am not saying all of them blow oil, but there are a lot that do. I use to stay on the S&S tech site trying to figure out what to do. It might have just been that motor. and then again this 107 may start it later on. I had 12000 miles on the S&S when I sold it.

Hey thanks Goat,

I loaded the pictures backwards to photobucket and I can't line them in sequence for some reason. But, you get the picture. I am no computer operator nor a mc mechanic. Both skills elude me.

Its time to change my oil and let her rip.
