Default Switch from Dunlop to Metzeler question

07 Dyna Street Bob...decided to go with mets...problem is,they dont make a me 880 the same size as the dunlop I am replacing...160/70B17...they do make a 170/60 17..will this work...thanks

The pair I got from Ron Ayres were made in Germany. I read about the Brazilian facility not using the correct compond mixture when they first started production. I would be surprised ifMetzler wasn'taware of this safetyissue and took corrective action by now.

Finally got my Metzelers(Made in Germany,,NOT the brazilian made ones that people are trashing)...man what a difference!!!!...handling is so much improved its almost scary...:&gt....dosnt fight the turns now like the Dunlops...took me a couple hundred miles to get comfortable with them...its like a totally different bike...I went with the ME880 high mileage tires...never plan on owning another Dunlop...:&gt

How do you know were the tire came from to make sure it was not Brazile?Is it on the tire some where?

Specified ,when I ordered the tires,that I wanted the German made ones.When they arrived I checked the sidewall to verify that they were...:&gt

OK, I checked and both of mine are made in Brazil.

The Metz response was low tire pressure. I am very good at checking tire pressure.

I have about 6K miles on them and over 1500 miles was in very hot conditions (105+ - Vegas baby).
The tires look good, but this is my life we are talking about.
