Braided Stainless Steel Fuel Crossover Line ?
I like Mudpuddles idea of bending the two crossover tubes down enough to keep the hose off the frame. I just haven't mustered up the cajones yet to do it. So far, all I've done is split another hose and put it under where it rubs.
I agree - I can't bring myself to bend the tubes.
Post more pics of your shiney Bob - looks nice!!!
Glide05, I see exactly what you're talking about regarding the unfinished sections of the fittings being exposed. I'm thinking I may put a drop or two of clear nail polish on those areas to avoid any rust. Or do you have any better suggestions?
Gary
Thanks all for the feedback.
I was at the dealer today for something totally unrelated
and while I was there I picked up one up
and went ahead and had the dealer install it.

but, I cannot understand why they do not
offer a third, an inch or so longer....
I'm sure your dealer gave you the longer one.
Might be worth checking.
Regarding tank lifts -
I have bent the tubes downon several tanks.
Sometimes the paint delaminates.
I'm repainting on mine, not an issue.
Some do not delaminate.
clear nail polish......
or, touch up paint.
It's not a "delicate" fitting GaryinSanDiego,
but, you cain't get too violent in your bending.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Mud, just curious,
but sometimes you show a pic of what looks like a work in progress
( did I say a piece of ****?)
and your signature shows what looks like a '06 or '07 SG? ???
Your eyes do not deceive you.
