Default SE Ignition Module Installation

Need Help Please
I am trying to install a SE Ignition Module #31759-04A, 7000 RPM on my 2006 XL1200C.
I can't get the password to burn-in. The security light stays on and doesn't shut off after step 4, "attempt to start one time"
I have a service manual, but not the Dealer Set-up manual. The instructions say to perform all steps under 3.3 TSM/TSSM Vehicle Delivery/Setup.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Scott

I installed that same module last week. The instructions on NRHS's site worked like a charm. Look here http://www.nrhsperformance.com/tech_xllearn.shtml

Thanks very much for the help, I'll give it a try in the morning.
I've spent several hours on it and I'm sure you have just saved me alot of time.
Thanks again,
Scott

You're welcome. When the instructions say it takes about 10 minutes for a step I just let it go for 12 to be on the safe side and I got it right on the first try. Took about 40 minutes to program it I think so hopefully your battery is up to it.

I had this problem last year, to slow the battery draining, I pulled the fuse out for the lights, and it worked like a charm. Just takes some patience. Good luck.

Responce from Scott
I got it to take on try #2! Thanks for all the help. A few notes, I pulled the light fuse and hooked up a battery charger. A few things to note, on step 5 after attempt normal start, the engine lamp comes on, then the turn signal indicators both flash several times and the engine light goes out after a few seconds. This happens after each 10 min interval, so don't expect the light to be on during the whole process.
Thanks Again for all the help, going to ride... extremely fast with my new Andrews N4 Cams!!

You must have the alarm on yours. Mine doesn't so I saw no flashing turn signals.
