Have you had any problems with the bars moving? Lot of discussion about that right now. Did you do anything special with the clamp?

All the wiring and cable fit perfectly. The bars are little taller than stock, but they are also narrower. The only time the bars moved on me, is when I hit a big pot hole. I stood up to cushion the blow and pulled back very hard. The clamp needed to be tightened when this happened.

Very nice! Really strong execution of a great concept. You've got a good eye for detail.

nitpicking -the one thing I would change are the decals on the forks. I think they distract more than enhance.

Either way, awesome bike. Great candidate for rotm!

HI,

Allow me to be objective, and by that I mean to all who read this, I mean no offense, just what I notice and see...

I like that you didn't de-chrome the bike! I like chrome in little bits, as you can see on my bike I have a little, but prefer paint, the little bit of chrome you have adds to the luster of the bike ...very good job!

The fork boots look outstanding! This...all you Street Bob fans is how your front end should look, if you don't convert to springer. A black Springer is perfect, or the dull silver conventional setup you have here. I disagree with the previous post. The stickers add a bit of character to the bike, it's an old skool trademark, and I am a little ashamed to admit I might have to copy you on that one! (Nightster boots on my 39mm forks???)

The seat being done in brown is outstanding! really adds to the bike! If mine wasn't in black leather already, I'd have it recovered , but in light tan for my bike, for your's you got it spot on!

You can NEVER go wrong using vintage badges! You have the late 40's badges on the tank, I'm using '58 badges on my derby cover and battery cover.

I PERSONALLY prefer smooth bended bars, alot of guys like the Z bar look. Either will work great, and it looks great, I personally prefer the conventional mini-apes (in black), but I may change my mind on this bike!

How do you read your fuel level with the H/D badge over the cap? looks good, nevertheless.

Even though my opinion means squat....I LIVE this lifestyle, literally........I have to say this is the cleanest, prettiest Street Bob that I have seen yet. The one that just won the BOM is beautiful, but this one actually beat it, by just a hair.....hard to believe, since I love springers!

take care of her~!

Joe

Thanks for the kind words sir. I modified it the way I did for all the reasons you mentioned. I never mind anyone copying anything on my bike, because all I'm doing is copying what someone else did before I was a twinkle in my pappy's eye. As for the gas gauge, I just put some velcro on the underside of the cover to make it removable.

Again,

Beautiful bike, and appreciate the understanding on copying some of your work. This bike should be bike of the year, IMHO.

I know im the first to post to this in awhile but this post came up in a search I was doin for fork boots for my bob. Gorgeous bike and I hate to be a hater cause like I said its a gorgepus bike and its very similar to chibs's bike ok n sons of anarchy which is the bike that I was basising some of my mods on. Again no disrespect ment by any means. I was actually wonderimg what compamy makes that exhaust?

Also could you explain the fork boots cutting a little more? I was thinking of getting jammer fork boots for a wide glide since they are already longer

Really nice ride you got there man. A lot of hard work and it paid off big time. Certainly a motivator for those who are planning mods.
