Yellotang, Theirare not many things more personal than a guy who finally bought a HD after sh@# talking for years and then thinking because he did he's better than everyone else. I speak from experience, you speak from ignorance. I remember sitting on my Valkyrie Interstate years ago and having a 300lb dirtbag next to me on a Sportster that was so rich it would barely idle. He looked over at me with a sh^% eating grin and said "How much will that piece of sh&^ be worth in 10 years?" The light changed and he promptly killed the engine as I drove off. It was surely a "Yellotang" moment. (BTW, I don't care what kind of t-shirt you wear)
Largestar, you just need to keep quiet and stop trying to stir up crap you have no clue about. And you sir are the ignorant one! And the next time I see someone do something stupid I will say it was a largestar moment!
So now you want to gag me? I wasn't stirring the pot, You were the one who made inflamatory comments. So I don't have a clue? About what exactly, what I like and don't like, about how talking down to other riders is wrong? Let me guess, I'm ignorant because I don't agree with you? If you are a real biker, I'll pass. BTW--Largestar moment is a good thing.
It is your personal attacks that makes you an @SS!

I don't think it is any competition for Harley. BMW and Honda yes. What's really funny is some of you guys complain about the other Vics that they are Harley wanna bees. Now they come out with something totally different and it's a piece of crap because it doesn't look like a Harley. If it said Harley on it you'd probably love it.

Your probable right, but it still is the ugliest friken thing on the road.
I think we should all stand up and give BH a round of applause for starting this thread. This is the most fun I've had in a long time. Actually, last night when I fit my 6'4" onto a friend's '06 1200 XL and blasted down the road I had more fun, or for that matter when I folded myself onto my brother-in-law's Honda GB 500 and made that one lunger stand on its back tire Thanksgiving Day I had a lot more fun than this.
We've had two members of the forum at each other's throats, and, more importantly, I sat here laughing for about an hour reading this thread.
What more can you ask for?!
By the way, I'd love to ride one of these things, just to see what it's like. I don't care what it is, or how it looks. In fact, the weirder the better. As long as it has two wheels I'll ride it and enjoy it. After a brief fling I'll still go home to my RKC.
Just to keep the pot well-stirred.....dial up the Better Business Bureau site (BBB.com) and check in on Polaris Industries, Inc. (mothership of Victory). Granted, it's not just judging Victory bikes but it does give a perspective of the company. Seems like the BBB gives them an unsatisfactory rating. Then, of course, check HD. I also enjoy the Rosie/Donald dialogue on this thread.....FWIW.
personally i think its about time some one changed the old stone age design of a tour bike. goldwing gave it a sucessful change and the goldwing owners keep there bikes and are getting 200,000 plus miles out of them befor having to rebuild. if this victory vision had a water cooled system on it i would buy it in a flash. but as far as it having the typical air cooled system its no better then any other V Twin that has been on production. >> 60000 miles and to the trash can it goes!!! i been riding V Twins for 35 years. i have a 2005 road glide i use to within a 300 mile circle and also a 2003 goldwing i cross country on it. my 2 cents worth is, the vision is just going to be a over rated v twin with a over rated price tag on it just like the harley, i know i have owned many harleys!!! there beautiful bikes and i think the vision is to, but its still a air cooled engine... as some one metioned on a earlyer posting. look at harley sales, there through the roof, but u also have to include the pre owned harleys are also through the roof, wonder if theres a reason for that?? possible no body wants to keep a over rated old dinasour designed thats way over priced.... but even at that i still enjoy my harley and if the victory vision was about 14 grandand would get over 100,000 miles befor i had to rebuild it i would buy one.
