'08 VICTORY VISION .. VESPA on STEROIDS
As I observed the crowds reaction to the bike I notice the HD crowd looked but kept its distance(wouldn't sit on the bike). The Goldwing Beemer crowd was all over this bike. Nuff said.

But, after looking at it again (yuccckk, gag!!), I think a couple of posters may have guessed it right... Why not market a powerful, noisyJetson-mobile that should appeal to a new class of cutesy metro-boys who just gottaown the latest and wildest sleek image that is out there??
Maybe something useful for us others will come out of the hybrid ideas. But, Man that thing is just plain Pig Butt Ugly IMO.
New security system for your harley. Victory Vision bike cover.
victory is a risk taker and look how far they have come as a competitor to hd .
from my point of view i will n ot pass judgement until i see it , the vision, in person.period.
also, those who criticize hd on design, i give you this take.
the most succesful car maker ,and profitable ,is PORSCHE .....AND THE 911, a 40 year old design that has been updated ever so slightly.
remember when the 928 came out .........it tanked ,yet it was a great and beautiful car. but it was not an air cooled 911. the purist will have nothing to do with it.
same with hd and the v-rod except the v-rod is still around ,and with luck hd will keep trying new things around their classic lines .
so,those on this board who have trashed Victory and those who have trashed hd.........
it is all in the eye of the beholder ............
and there is no need to trash unless of course if you are so insecure and emotionally incapable of looking at things in a neutral manner ,and appreciate the element design and risk taking
remember ,,he who dares ,wins.........and i think that Victory has a winner in their hands .
and i will not hesitate to trade in my street glide on this bike if it is in fact technically superior to mine . ,handles better ,and the design works for me .
it is up to harley davidson to keep me in their fold thru inovation and design ,not me.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
For years I have been riding Harleys, two of which I owned. I thank God everyday mine broke down on Rt. 83 where it was towed to a Victory dealership to see if they can give me a hand. That night, i drove a new Victory Jackpot home and have never looked back.
I found it amazing how the BMW, Honda, and other forums welcome the new styling and innovations. Remote windshield, heated grips, seats, 110" 6 speed combo, ipod capability, navigation, etc.
I was at the Javit Center today, I saw the hundreds of people at the Victory booth, and three dozen at HD. I heard over and over the same thing at the HD booth, "Same as last year," "Oh look, new rims, must be a new model." (lol)
I read someone call it a "Scooter" here. That "Scooter" has a 110ci 6speed that will more than likely wipe you big bad Screaming Eagle. That goes without saying, my wife outran my Fatboy riding the old 92" Vic engine onher Vegas, - and thats a woman driving.
So far the whole motorcycle community minus HD accepts change and innovation, something HD owners will never understand. I never did until I saw it for myself.
I still proudly wear my HD shirts and have my HD plate on my Ram, but you'll never catch me throwing a leg over another HD again until I see some new changes, better service, and newer models. I loved my HD's and still love the company, but there are bigger and better things out there IMHO.
Maybe the Victory Vision is too "futuristic" for some, but then again, I wouldnt expect any other comment from riders who have had the same models and engines recycled over and over for the past 20 years.
I have since painted over the four oil stains on my garage floor from my HD's and I couldnt be happier.
I spent two afternoons in a HD showroom and truly went to buy one. Pretty bikes for sure, but I just couldn't fall in love with anything when there. Then, when doing my homework on the Hogs, I saw a Victory Jackpot online, and now 8,500 miles in 6 months later, I couldn't love it more, andit just keeps going strong with not a single problem, not to mention I run the nuts off all my HD friends. Much more *****,and from 18-25% less fuel used, even with my 100"s versus their 88"s, and having checked it against friends HD's on many long runs. Also steals the stares every bike night and whether boulevard cruising or when running in a pack. Not sure yet personally if they went too 'Goldwing' on the Vision, but if they did it intentionally I like how they did it. Now I want to see something in between. In closing, show me a HD w/ only a stage 1 job done that wheelies like my 'pot will and I'll switch.Only like the new'07 CVO Springer though... except for the fact that the friggin' oil tankcap burned my leg right through Levi's cause the damn engine ran so friggin' hot!Damn, and I almost wanted to buy that one HD, almost

YOU GUYS ARE MISSING THE POINT! After all of the Jap brands have copied H-D styling for years since they couldn't pull an original idea out of their a$$ without it looking like the lovechild Mecha-Godzilla and some fruity **** off of a Pokemon card, these guys didn't copy H-D in their styling. Now all of these people who want more "technically advanced" American bikes can go get one of these and shut f*** up.
