07 FLHTC, PCIII usb, SEAC, and a set of '04 roadking pipes with holes in the baffles for now...workin on the budget for slip-ons.
I'm runnin the 812-007 map that I tweaked the timing table and retarded it by 2 degrees in the 40, 60, and 80 throttle postion at 2500-6000 rpms. I did this to address the ping I had when I REALLY rolled on it.
I am not the brighhtest bul, but (OK no comments)...
Seems to me the PC takes the outputs from the ECM and then changes them when sending to the fuel module. The SERT reprograms the ECM.
If the above is true, what difference does it make to have the download done of you are using the PC. I had mine done because I will not repipe and AC until the spring. I do think it runs smoother. Not sure what it does to the mileage.

Because it seems mainly this is timeing mod. The pc111 doesnt change timeing except at 100 percent throttle.
All HOG is saying is that the canned PC111 maps,at least the ones Ive seen, come w/no timing changes until the 100% setting. You can change the cells at diiferent throttle/rpm ranges from the canned zero setting.
My map from Fuel Moto did not include any timing changes. I spoke with them and Jamie suggested that I go ahead and do the torque smoothing download. According to him the flash is just timing, and it does not require that the PCIII be disconnected to do the flash, or remapped afterward. I am taking it to the dealer on Saturday.
