Minnesota Harley-Davidson Store May Become Biggest in Twin Cities with Move Into State-of-the-Art Venue

Harley-Davidson destination stores are surfacing across the nation, hoping to attract riders from afar on top of local patrons. Destination dealerships offer swanky accommodations, and large variety of all things Harley.

For decades Harley-Davidson riders have traveled across this beautiful nation collecting local keepsakes from various H-D dealerships. Of course, like most things, some dealerships are more sought after than others. Venues like the Javelina H-D in Texas, and LVHD on the Vegas strip rank higher in desirability than others, but more are popping up on the must-visit map year after year.

Such is the case of Blaine Harley Davidson in Blaine, Minnesota. The current owners of the location also own another dealership in the state, as well as another in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Therefore, these guys aren’t new to the dealership business. Such experience has led them to dream up a new destination store — the largest in the Twin Cities.

Situated north of their location along Interstate Highway 65, the new venue promises to hold over 150 motorcycles compared to the current 35. In addition, the new building offers 11 service bays and even heated garage space for winter storage rental.

“We’re going to have the latest bikes, clothes, parts and accessories. In every department, it’s going to allow us the opportunity and the space to have a lot more options for the customer,” said the store’s co-owner and general manager, Ron Dible, to ABC Newspapers.

It makes perfect financial sense. The bigger the space, the wider variety of services they can offer, and therefore the more streams of revenue. Of course, the current owners are having to face relative pushback from local residents, as they believe the dealership’s presence could lower their home’s values. This and other issues will be up for discussion at several town hall meetings.

With an expected opening date of February 2018, make sure to keep an eye out if you if you’re in the Twin Cities!
