“I never want my Harleys to look like Harleys.” Some famous custom builder recently made this statement. Not sure we agree with their sentiment but we wonder if Tom Mosimann had the same thought when he built his latest custom.

Tom Mosimann is a sign painter, based in the Swiss capital of Bern, who started building bikes three years ago under the moniker of GS Mashin. You can’t miss the muscular V-twin of this 200 model year Fat Boy, but it’s now part drag bike, part flat tracker with a very green and bronze paint scheme. Drawing inspiration from old salt flat racers and drag bikes, He shaped everything himself out of steel.

The seat’s been covered in leather, and there is a very cool under frame scoop.  The exhaust system is his handiwork and looks to have used a muffler from a muscle car as opposed to a motorcycle canister. Certainly different but we definitely like the look. Another nice touch is the angular ‘GS’-adorned air filter.

Hiding behind the headlight shroud is an Auto Meter speedo, LSL bars help you navigate, Roland Sands Design grips and Beringer controls. The mid-mount foot controls and primary drive are from Performance Machine.

Stock wheel and shocks are fitted but the forks were and upgraded them with Progressive Suspension springs. The front wheel’s a 21-inch unit from another Harley shod with Dunlop D402 rubber.

The bike was built in a mere  nine months, finishing it off with a paint job that shows his skill as a painter. The greens used as an accent can be seen all over in places like the wheels, air filter cover and spoiler.

Despite the custom work, it’s fully road legal in Switzerland. Unsurprisingly Sweden has some of the most stringent noise regulations in the world making this custom something even more that meets the eye. “GS Mashin only builds roadworthy bikes,” Tom explains. “Because bikes are for riding.”
